On the 1 and 2 december 2010, I went to HCB symposium on "New technologies of genetic modification" organised by HCB, Jean-Francois Pages and Catherine Golstein.
The Symposium focuses on Recent advances in technologies of genetic modification have raised questions about whether emerging technologies are appropriately taken into account in existing European regulatory frames. The symposium will focus on those technologies of genetic modification that do not clearly fall under the scope of European legislation, or for which the current regulation is unclear, illogical or inexistent.
I gave a talk on "Disabling the dissemination of synthetic species through redundant semantic and trophic containment", concepts developped by Philipe Marlière.
